(KSDK) - Three and a half years after coming down with what she thought was a virus, a local teenager still hasn't been able to completely shake her fatigue, headache and stomachache.
Her final diagnosis: a mysterious illness even many doctors don't know much about.
Rebekah Sasse is now a senior in high school. Her illness caused her to miss 50 days during her freshman year alone, "It was July 13, 2001 which was a Friday, ironically enough, and I woke up and I just felt horrible."
Sasse is describing the beginning of what she thought was a virus."

"MUNCIE - In stating his case for Ball State to be selected for a premier game in next month's Bracket Buster Saturday, coach Tim Buckley said he likes the way his team is playing three weeks before the event.
The Cardinals will find out today whether ESPN executive Burke Magnus feels the same way.
Magnus, with input from conference commissioners, will select 22 teams to play in 11 televised games that comprise the 2005 ESPN Bracket Buster. The pairings for the games on Feb. 19 will be announced at 4 p.m. today on ESPN News.
Buckley thinks the Cardinals deserve one of the spots.

"State penitentiary not immune from the flu

Iron bars, razor wire and high fences haven't kept the influenza virus from penetrating North Dakota State Penitentiary walls. Prison officials who aren't at home sick themselves say they've seen a spike in the number of flu cases among inmates.
More than 100 inmates took to their beds in the last couple weeks after testing positive for a form of influenza, said Dr. John Hagan, prison physician. The warden, a deputy warden and the prison's chief of security were among the 17 staff members who also were hit."
