"PANGASINAN, Koronadal City -- An eased back pain. A cured arthritis. A swollen head returning to its normal size. These are just some of the "unusual stories" narrated by people in this village at the outskirts here, where an alleged miraculous fountain came out of a parched land by the roadside. An estimated 5,000 people from as far as neighboring areas of Tulunan and Matalam in North Cotabato, Banga, Sto. Nino and other parts of South Cotabato, and General Santos City have flocked by truckloads to this erstwhile sleepy village since Thursday, hoping to get cured."

"WALTHAM - Doc Rivers isn't exactly the best source for medical news these days. The Celtics coach once gravely predicted that rookie Al Jefferson might be out for half the season with a sprained ankle. He did miss 10 games, but returned well ahead of schedule. Only last week Rivers forlornly predicted that Gary Payton would miss Saturday's game at Detroit. Payton not only accompanied the team there, but played 38 minutes. The fact is, Rivers rarely knows what he's speaking about regarding medical matters. He doesn't spend a lot of time worrying about those who can't play, and relies on trainer Ed Lacerte to clue him in as needed."

The Sony PSP vs. the Swiss Army Knife
From: NewsTrove.com

"During my visit to Mike's laboratory for all things "gaming" - the rest of us have spaces that resemble offices - he confirmed my non-gamer sense that PSP is more than just a tiny step up from Nintendo's current generation Dual Screen - or DS - offering from 2004. The side-by-side comparison of the two was shocking. Different worlds. PSP closes in on the graphics capability of the non-portable PlayStation2 itself."

Dutch to issue new euthanasia policy
From: NewsTrove.com

"AMSTERDAM, Netherlands -- The Dutch Health Ministry will soon issue its opinion on a proposal to expand the country's euthanasia policy to cover infants, the mentally handicapped and the demented, a spokesman said Tuesday. Health Secretary Clemence Ross, who has opposed expanding euthanasia laws in the past, is to send an opinion to Parliament on the long-running debate in three or four weeks, spokesman Richard Lancee told The Associated Press. Under current law, euthanasia can be administered in the Netherlands to people who are terminally ill with no hope of recovery, are suffering great pain and who ask to die. Two doctors must agree."
