Los Angeles Dodgers closer Eric Gagne was placed on the 15-day disabled list for the first time in his career Friday night because of a sprained right elbow.
"It's real frustrating because we're this close to the season. It was just bad timing. I kind of feel like I let down the team," Gagne said after the Dodgers' 8-3 loss to the Angels. "I expected the worst on the MRI. I didn't think it was going to be that good, but today it was a lot better than we thought. I mean, I'm not happy about the results, but it could have been worse."
